Balancing Whispers was started in 2022 by Martine Sudan out of a desire to give her personal horses a more suitable living arrangement, which then took another turn after one of her cobs foundered.

Martine has been on and around horses from a very young age, stepping away from it for quite a few years to focus on business and family.
About Martine
In 2000 she returned to her childhood love for horses and started many years of studying and training in various therapies.
In 2001 she completed a 2-year Hatha yoga instructor course and also obtained her Usui Reiki Master level.
In 2002 she successfully completed the Equissage 50 hours course in Equine Sports Massage Therapy, and the 150 hours Equine Massage Therapy with Equinology
In 2003 she received a diploma in Zen Shiatsu and Zen Kiatsu, while also continuing studying under Master Ryokyo Endo in Tao Shiatsu and Ki & Heart school.
In 2004 completed level 1 with EAGALA
In 2005 she became a TTouch Equine practitioner, in 2015 she received her Equine P1 level.
In 2006 she started studying animal behavior from a more scientific approach through the MSc in Applied Animal Behavior program at the American College of Applied Science. The college unfortunately closed with the untimely passing of its president before her thesis was completed.
Her horse care and training methods are mainly based on Tellington TTouch, but she also draws from her studies in Eastern philosophies and Western science for additional techniques.
